Promotional video of San Telmo Museoa, a museum of Basque society located in Donostia / San Sebastian. Its permanent exhibition traces the evolution of Basque society through its culture and history, from prehistoric times to the 20th century.
The museum is housed in a 16th century Dominican convent, and between 2007 and 2011 it was refurbished and extended. Highlights include its 16th-century cloister and church, and the giant murals that José María Sert painted for the church.
Throughout the year it hosts numerous permanent exhibitions and offers an extensive programme of activities on a wide range of subjects: Europe, economics, feminism, refugees, ethnography, anthropology, archaeology, etc. It also hosts part of the programme of internationally renowned festivals, such as the San Sebastian Film Festival, the Musical Fortnight and the Heineken Jazzaldia.
